The C40 Recharge Pure Electric is available in one well-equipped all-wheel drive Ultimate trim. It's powered by an electric powertrain that produces 402 horsepower and Volvo claims it has a range of 257 miles and a 0-60 mph of 4.5 seconds. The estimated time to charge the battery from zero to 80 per cent with a 150kW DC fast charger takes only around 40 minutes. The rear-wheel drive model produces 248 horsepower with a range of 297 miles. The C40 Recharge Pure Electric was designed with enough room for five adults. Notable features include 19-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 9-inch touchscreen display, a navigation system, cruise control, a fixed glass sunroof, a hands-free liftgate, power folding mirrors, LED adaptive headlights, and front seat memory settings. The Twin Ultimate trim adds washers for the front headlights, LED front fog lights, 20-inch wheels, power front seats, heated rear seats, adaptive cruise control, surround view camera, and a heated steering wheel. Volvo is taking a new interpretation of luxury with this vehicle, it's the first Volvo that's 100% leather free. The technology is also incorporated with Google built-in to the infotainment system, pixel lights and ambience added through backlit interior panels. Standard safety equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, an active lane departure warning system, blind spot warning, forward collision mitigation, rear collision warning, a pedestrian detection system, a driver attention alert and a traffic sign information system.
